Sir , Iam a female of 43 years. Results of my Hematology ismy Hb(%) 14.9, TC is 12900 cells/cumm, DC:P-62%,L-32%,E-3%,M-0%; AEC is 450cells/cmm Biochemistry resulys RBS 106mg/dl; UREA32mg/dl Creatine .9mg/d;abd sputum for AFB .negative I am worried about increased TC count and absence of M in my blood . What may be reason? Pl answer
Raised white cell count is important in context of infections so if any clinical correlation with infection is suspected may need antibiotics coverage however, absent monos in blood film can be normal and nothing to be worried about as small fluctuations in samples may occur.
